Sydney business people are invited to get back to nature in the CBD, taking their shoes off for the sustainability in business social networking event, Business Goes Barefoot.
The event will be held at dusk on the lawn outside the MCA on Wednesday 26th November, during Zero Footprint Week, November 23rd to 29th.
Zero Footprint week, an initiative of One at a Time Foundation, is an umbrella awareness week that invites individuals, families and businesses to take simple steps to reduce their ecological footprint, save money, and help to halt climate change.
Business Goes Barefoot encourages guests to take their shoes off in a symbolic gesture of reconnecting with nature, while reflecting on ways to reduce their personal and business ecological footprints. If you can’t bear to bare your feet you can stay shod during the event for a small donation.
Independent filmmaker Maryella Hatfield will be guest speaker – Maryella is the director of “The Future Makers,” a film about Australians in business leading the world in the field of renewable energy, soon to be screened on the Discovery Channel.
Business Goes Barefoot will raise funds for the One at a Time Foundation’s climate change community awareness programs.
